G = Geronimo Stilton 🧀

Lmao so it's been almost a month since I last posted anything - funny how now that I'm on break w ample of time, I'm less bothered to write a blog post then when I have a full day of placement and more independent learning to do after...😅 (no, defs not using blogging as a more "productive" form of procrastination...not at all...)

Anyways, continuing with my abc reflection series,

G = Geronimo Stilton

Must confess, the first thing that actually came to mind when I thought of G was Geris (geriatrics), but I honestly don't have much to say about that topic except to note that I have already been infected by the occupational hazard of linking everything to med...💀

Geronimo Stilton, on the other hand, is literally my childhood. In fact, ordering English books through Scholastic Inc magazines was one of the main highlights of the school year (honestly I have no idea where else to get English books in China back in the early 2000s and still no idea now lol). It's where I got all my HP, PJO, and Guardian's of Ga'Hoole books as well. Back to Geronimo Stilton (which if you've never read, I have no idea what you did during your childhood) were so much fun to read as a kid because they were full of pictures and cool colourful fonts - nothing like the traditional serious looking chapter books (which don't get me wrong, I love too, but had to be in a certain mood). Ngl, I still sometimes flip through the few Geronimo Stilton books I ordered rather than borrowed from the library whenever they catch my eye on the bookshelf.

...funny how one of my fav Geronimo Stilton books involves him getting seriously injured and needing to stay in hospital for a long while to recover, from the ED to radiology to rehab......maybe I was destined for med school after all...🤷
