- NGV Bonnard - very aesthetic, go cat and dog spotting 

- NGV - permanent collection is FREE!! (don't forget to check out the open-air stuff at the back!)


Quirky stores 

- Pookipoiga (Richmond) - super cool gifts, ethical shit as well, by defs exy 

- Third Drawer Down (Fitzroy) - for alternative & naughty gifts, exy +++


Street wanderings in Melb 

- Gertrude St - many boutique shops, op shops, modern food 

- DeGraves St - like Italian alleyways w st art 

- Chapel St - food (tends to be fancier, but also have cheap finds), high-end boutique shops, op shops, shopping complex, cinema


Coffee/cafes/brunch

- Cisco's Coffee (Windsor) - converted mum to only buy freshly ground coffee beans from here XD (ask store owner for coffee bean recommendation depending on taste) 

- School of Seven Bells - only place I'll go for proper loose-leaf chai now 

- Gordon St Bakery (Footscray; Thurs-Sun 7.15-13.00) - the cheesy mite, walnut and fig baguette, croissants just everything is perfect

- Hardware Societe (CBD) - staple go to brunch when feeling fancy, French-inspired

- Brother's Keeper (Kooyong) - lost count of how many times I've been already, pet-friendly


Restaurants

- Park St Pasta & Wine (South Melb) amazing pasta, on the fancy expensive side but 100% worth it 

- Roti Bar (CBD) lunchtime menu unbelievably tasty AND CHEAP wtf 


Anime 

- Psycho Pass S1 (dystopian, high-tech, gory) 

- Hell’s Paradise (I can’t even the aesthetics & music sifjejvj - quite unhinged tho)

- Undead murder farce (murder mystery comedy)

- Azumanga Daioh (comedy, slice of life, some aspects didn’t age well)

- Blue Period (if you like art) 

- Gintama (only if already otaku/weeb status) 


Kdrama 

- Extraordinary Attorney Woo (feel-good, reflects social issues) 

- Secret Forest / Strangers (S1 > S2 amazing acting all round)

- Tunnel (murder mystery, time travelling) 

- Memories of Alhambra (AI gaming, diff) 

- Crashing Landing On You (romance, amazing music, ML and FL be married in real life!)

- Vincenzo (dark humour - serious whiplash style)

- Uncanny Encounters (S2 out now!) 

- Legend of the Blue Sea (reincarnation, mystery romance; Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun, need I say more?) 

- Guardian: The Lonely and Great God  (Dokkaebi = Goblin)  (staple of kdrama land)


Western shows

- Sherlock (S1 and 2 esp) 

- Mindhunter (where is my S3 T^T) 

- Daredevil (Disney+ better not eff up next S3 aoeijf aweoifj) 

- John Constantine (TV show) (Matt Ryan IS Constantine, fight me) 

- F1: Drive to survive (never thought I would be interested in F1 but here I am) 

- Queer Eye Japan, Germany, Brazil (just more emotional than the American ver for me) 

- Love is Blind Japan (again, less over-the-top drama than US ver, just sweeter and bittersweet)


Movies

- LOTR (only extended edition marathon-style screening allowed in my household) 

- Silenced (super depressing but the acting is phenomenal, based on real-life story) 

- Parasite (surely you've already watched?) 

- Imitation Game

- Tangled (lost track how many times I've rewatched this as well)
